DAY 1
Arrive in Johannesburg (D)
We spend the afternoon exploring Soweto, the vibrant township with historical legacy.
DAY 2
The Great Escarpment - 400km for the day (B+L+D)
We make our way out, driving to this wonderland area of South Africa, with breath taking waterfalls and unique rock formations.
We take today and tomorrow to show you this unique area and all its beauties.
DAY 3
Explore - The Great Escarpment (B)
Some of the highlights of today’s exploration include God’s Window, the Three Rondawels and many more.
DAY 4
Kruger National Park -140km for the day - (B+L+D)
We travel to our lodge in a wildlife concession, just outside the Kruger National Park. Here we will stay for 3 nights, while exploring the park by day.
DAY 5 & 6
Full days in the Kruger National Park (B+L+D)
We take a day to look for the Big 5 in the Kruger National Park with a local guide in an open vehicle.
The nearly 2 million hectares boasts with an astonishing diversity of fauna and flora.
DAY 7
Swaziland - 250km for the day (B+L+D)
We make our way down to the Kingdom of Swaziland, and visit Mlilwane Wildlife Sancturary, sleeping in bee hive huts and are surrounded by the Nyonyane Mountain.
DAY 8
St Lucia - 350km for the day (B)
Today we visit the Coastal town of St Lucia, which is unique in that it has hippos wondering the streets occasionally after dark.
In the afternoon we do a sunset cruise and might be able to see some of these gentle giants lazing in the water.
DAY 9
St Lucia - 100km for the day (B)
Making our way early morning for a game drive in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, one of the Kwa-Zulu Natals best known Nature Reserves.
Our afternoon has no specific plans and can be spent by the beach or walking around town.
DAY 10
Drakensberg - 500km for the day (B+L+D)
We make our way to the Drakensberg Mountains. It is a long driving day, but worth the view of the dragon-like mountains at the end of the day.
DAY 11
Drakensberg (B+L+D)
After spending some time in the vehicle, we do a refreshing hike in the mountains to reflect on our journey.
DAY 12
Golden Gate Clarens - 100km for the day (B)
We make our way around the mountain to get to the Northern side of the “Berg” and stay in the artsy town of Clarence. Known best for its galleries and unique shopping, it also has some of the best restaurants and craft beer
DAY 13
Johannesberg (B)
We make our way back to our starting point, and bid farewell to an amazing experience having made a suitcase full of unforgettable memories.
